Aug-1999 – Kimono Show with Kiharu Nakamura – oldest living Shimbashi Geisha at this time – model for Memoires of a Geisha. She wrote a book with the same title many years earlier also translated from Japanese into German. The Author of the story with the same title in English interviewed Nakamura and others to come up with his final story and movie. Nakamura was not very happy about this story since she believed that it was a misrepresentation of her art which I also believe. Kiharu Nakamura passed away in New York on Jan 5th, 2004

Biking at Provincetown, Cape Cod with my very special co-pilot.
Thank you for following! Is that Cape Cod in your header? From your “about” photo, It looks like you’ve been on the Provincetown bike trail. That’s a fun one, especially if you like roller coaster biking.

Thank you for your comment. Its the first one I ever received since starting this blog about 2 weeks ago.
Yes this is Provincetown at Cape Cod. Just recently I enjoyed cross country skiing along the dunes with my camera which resulted in this photo. Agree, biking from dune to dune requires quite an effort. At first sight these Dunes look very manageable, however, I just recently changed my opinion. As my fellow countryman Arnold used to say: “I shall be back”.
In general I really like the Cape. Its a great escape anytime during the year and there is always something new to be discovered.
